WMU Cookbook


The ladies of the Women on Mission (WMU) need your help! We are creating a cookbook to support local and foreign missions. Now that you are dusting off your tried-and-true recipes for the upcoming holidays, why not share them with us? From appetizers and main entrees, to kids cuisine and international dishes...anything goes! Please submit your favorite recipes to WMUCookbook@carolina.rr.com. Using the Old Testament Tabernacle, you’ll discover a pattern for entering God’s presence and you’ll be equipped to move into a lifestyle of authentic worship.

Car Care and Clothes Closet is a ministry for single moms and widows to bring their cars to the church on a scheduled Saturday morning from 9-11:30 AM. Qualified mechanics and their assistants volunteer their time and labor to do basic maintenance on the vehicles. They will change the oil and filter, check all fluid levels and perform extensive safety checks at no charge. The Clothes Closet is available for anyone in need. You may visit the clothes closet between the hours of 9 AM-Noon in room 2100 in the Family Life Center. To make an appointment for Car Care, call the Singles Office at 704-531-4036. The next scheduled Car Care and Clothes Closet is March 13.

Our GEMs (God Embracing Mothers) program is a great place for moms to come and build friendships, to be encouraged, to take a break, and to gain practical strategies for creating a Christian home. We meet on the first Thursday of each month from 9:30 AM - Noon. GEMs offers delicious breakfasts, terrific programs, and new and exciting friendships. Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) invites you to attend our Mission Celebration on Thursday, April 22, 2010 at 7pm in the Fellowship Hall at Main Campus. Our theme will be Love In Action. 1 John 3:18 teaches us “Let us not love with words or tongue, but with actions and in truth.” Join us for an evening of fellowship and learn how to involve your entire family in a “family mission lifestyle”.
